Emily Ann Anderson was sentenced to five years in federal prison for embezzling more than $2,700,000 from a Lubbock law firm through several schemes, according to court records obtained on Thursday.
EverythingLubbock.com first reported in October of 2024, Anderson agreed to plead guilty to Unauthorized Transactions with an Access Device. Federal court records said Anderson started working as an Accounting Manager at a law firm in 2018. In May of 2024, the firm was notified that Anderson had taken money by issuing checks from the law firm to a consulting group that she made up to help conceal the embezzlement. The name of the firm was not revealed in court records.
