UK-founded GenAI legaltech startup Wexler AI today (3 December) announced that it has raised $1.4m in pre-seed funding as it celebrated a number of key milestones, including that it has processed over one million queries since April this year.
Wexler’s platform uses large language models to automate essential fact-checking and intelligence gathering in legal disputes. We first wrote about them in September last year here – https://legaltechnology.com/2023/09/15/startup-corner-wexler-your-ai-copilot-for-legal-disputes/ noting that they had just received pre-seed funding of £400,000.
In the past few months Wexler has won UK law firm Burges Salmon as a client and says that Clifford Chance is exploring the platform. “Wexler assists lawyers working on the world’s most complex cases. The platform delivers critical, verified facts that legal teams can act on with full confidence,” said Gregory Mostyn, co-founder and CEO of Wexler AI. “With support from Myriad Venture Partners, and Entrepreneur First, and working closely with Burges Salmon and also Clifford Chance, among others, we’re not just transforming how the legal industry tackles the time and efficiencies of fact-finding, but helping our customers generate greater business value for their clients.”
Wexler says that with the new funding it is expanding its platform to include new features such as automated document drafting, advanced fact-checking tools, and streamlined discovery requests.
