Vietnamese Music Streamer Must Face Copyright Suit in the US

A Vietnam-based company that makes a mobile music app called Zing MP3 must face a copyright infringement lawsuit in the US, the Ninth Circuit ruled Thursday.

VNG Corp. had attempted to escape the lawsuit from Lang Van Inc.—which owns the copyrights to thousands of Vietnamese songs—by arguing the Los Angeles federal court where the complaint was filed lacked jurisdiction over the company.
