The Lawyer (UK) reports that US trial lawyers Kobre & Kim launched its Hong Kong office last week, with the new practice being led by Morgan Stanley?s former executive director in Hong Kong William McGovern.
They report that
McGovern will be supported by the firm?s co-founder and former federal prosecutor at the US DoJ Steven Kobre. The firm also has offices in New York, London, Washington DC and Miami.
London-based partner James Corbett QC, who joined the firm in April (19 April 2010) , said the move was triggered by the growing number of clients in the region, including Hong Kong-based US residents being investigated by regulatory authorities.
