A Canadian business that provides consulting services to law firms, law schools, and legal departments sued a US business that provides substantially similar services, alleging trademark infringement.
De Novo Inc., which holds a US trademark for DE NOVO, filed the complaint against Jonathan A. Beitner Thursday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. The complaint says that the promotional materials for Beitner’s business, De Novo Professional Development, infringe the DE NOVO mark.
