An Orientation to Legal Research: Tracing Federal Regulations

Date: Thursday, December 5, 2024, 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. EST

Content: This webinar will provide an overview of U.S. federal regulations, including information about the notice and comment rulemaking process; the publication and citation of regulations; and the tracing of regulations from the Code of Federal Regulations, to the proposed rule in the Federal Register, to the regulation’s docket.

Instructors:  Ann Hemmens – Senior Legal Reference Librarian. Ann holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois and earned her J.D. and Master of Science in library science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
