Research Assistant
Applications are invited for the above post to assist on the academic research project on defamation in China. The project uses a qualitative-quantitative socio-legal approach to analyse the interaction between legal and public spheres in China.
The successful candidate will conduct research using quantitative statistical analysis, collate research materials and produce reports, compile funding applications and provide administrative support to the project.
Candidates must have a keen interest in applying socio-legal approach in studying defamation law, media law and human rights law, and a postgraduate degree in a relevant field. Candidates must have excellent English and Chinese reading and writing skills, and experience of quantitative statistical analyses. ?
Salary will be within the range ?24,273 – ?26,523 per annum, depending on skills and experience (salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance). This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of 12 months.
