Monika Szakasits, associate director of the Young Law Library, is retiring at the end of May after 20 years of service.
In 2004, Szakasits began her career at the U of A. In her role as associate director of the Law Library, Szakasits was essential in the day-to-day operations of the library for the past two decades.
In the early mornings, Szakasits provided a smile and an answer to any and all questions at the Reference Desk by Arsaga’s, ranging from legal research help to when the coffee shop will open.
Her presence at the Reference Desk will be greatly missed, and all are welcome to come by the Six Pioneers Room of the Law School at 11 a.m Friday, May 31, for cake, refreshments and wishing Szakasits a happy retirement.
