UKLEA: New for Annual Conference 2026: Early Years Plenary

We are already receiving abstracts for our new Early Years Plenary at the UKELA Annual Conference 2026 in Warwick. This 45-minute session will feature short, dynamic (5 minute) presentations from people at the early stages of their environmental law journey. It offers a supportive platform to share ideas, build confidence and gain exposure within the wider UKELA community, reflecting UKELA’s commitment to supporting the next generation of environmental law practitioners.

If you are early in your environmental law career, we warmly encourage you to submit an abstract. If you are more established, please help spread the word to students, trainees, early-career colleagues or networks who might be interested – we are keen to hear voices from across the community.

How to submit
To apply for the Early Years Plenary, please submit both a short application form and an abstract of no more than 200 words, explaining:

  • why your chosen topic matters and should feature at the UKELA Annual Conference 2026
  • why you would like to present it (personal interest or experience is welcome)
  • confirmation that you understand and will adhere to UKELA’s Neutrality Policy
  • complete the online application form
  • full details of the call for abstracts, including eligibility and submission requirements, are available in the Early Years Plenary Call for Abstracts
  • abstracts may be submitted in the body of the email or as a Word document. Receipt will be acknowledged. Email your abstract to info@ukela.org
  • Deadline for submissions: 23:59 on Friday 30 January 2026
