Annual Conference 2023 | 27 June to 1 July | get your early bird ticket

We are delighted to let you know that bookings for the 2023 Annual Conference are now open! And anyone planning an early booking can make the most of our early bird promotion offering a £20 discount on ticket prices until 28 February.

Back in person for the first time in four years, Conference 2023 is taking place during the week of June 27 – July 1. It will run as a hybrid event, with some sessions fully online across the week.

Two days of plenaries, keynotes and legal updates will take place at the University of Reading on the Friday and Saturday combined with excellent CPD learning opportunities, debate, networking, and much more.

Throughout our two days together at the university, we will cover many of the multiple faces of environmental law, but the thread that runs through the conference is this: how is environmental law addressing the big environmental issues facing society, and how do we, as people active in environmental law, use this knowledge in our own professions.

We are based at the Whiteknights campus at the university, which is set in 130 hectares of beautiful parkland. The campus has won 11 consecutive #GreenFlag awards, recognising it as one of Britain’s top green spaces. Famous for the Climate Stripes, created by Prof Ed Hawkins at the university in 2018, which show how the planet is heating, stripe by stripe, in one striking image, Reading University is surely the perfect place for UKELA members and non members alike to meet and debate once again!

Check out the conference programme and ticket options to book your place on the website. All bookings before 28 February will have the £20 discount automatically applied. We also have limited bursaries available on a first come, first served basis.

Our Annual Conference remains the UK’s leading environmental law conference and one of UKELA’s highlights.  We hope to see you there!

Best wishes
