UKELA appoint Gareth de Graaff as new Executive Director.

Their letter…

I am delighted to announce that the Chair and trustees of UKELA have appointed Gareth de Graaff as our new Executive Director. He takes over from Alison Boyd from today, 6 February 2023.

Gareth’s passion and ambition for UKELA, combined with his experience in both the charity and legal sector, makes him an excellent fit for the role and will help us to deliver our vision for UKELA.

Gareth has a range of leadership expertise, having held senior business development roles in major firms within the accountancy and legal sector, including magic circle law firms. Most recently Gareth has served as the Director of Development at a well-known children’s charity in London. He is passionate about engaging with young people and supporting the next generation of law-makers as well as on improving diversity and inclusion within the profession.

Gareth comes from a family of horticulturalists, and has long held a passion for environmental conservation. Since having studied development and environmental economics at degree level, Gareth has harboured a desire to return to the field in his professional career and is delighted to be able to achieve this by joining UKELA. We are all looking forward to giving Gareth a warm welcome.

Best wishes

Ned Westaway
