Helen Garner the Information Resources Librarian at the Bodleian Law Library writes..
The family of The Lord [Patrick] Neill of Bladen, QC, who passed away earlier this year, has a number of bound law reports and statutes that they are keen to donate to a law library. Unfortunately the Bodleian Law Library is not in a position to take them up on their generous offer. I have given them the details of the ILBF but also agreed to circulate the details to see whether any law library in the UK is interested in the collection.
The following list of titles gives an idea of the extent of their father’s collection:
Statutes 1936 – 1992
Chancery appeals 1865 – 1875 (10 vols)
Equity cases 1865 – 1875 20 vols
Law Reports: Chancery Division 1875 to 2001
QBD 1865 to 2001
Scotch and Divorce appeal cases 1866 to 1875 (2 vols)
Privy Council Appeal cases 1865
Appeal cases 1875 to 2001
All England Reports 1963-2001
Private and family to 2001.
Halsbury statutes
If you are interested please can you email me and I will pass on your details. I would also be interested in hearing of any other organisations that might be interested in the collection.
Many thanks
Helen
