An international law firm requires a Research Analyst to Support the operational delivery of front line legal and business research, and knowledge management support to the Firm via the Research & Knowledge Services helpdesk, the production of current awareness and the management of divisional legal information resources.
Key responsibilities include:
· – Developing and maintaining an understanding of the Firm’s divisions / practice areas and market sectors in terms of their likely research needs and as sources of internal know-how
· – Providing an excellent front-line research service via the Research & Knowledge Services helpdesk with the use of appropriate legal and business research, and knowledge management tools and techniques
· – Producing tailored current awareness to the Firm and its clients using appropriate sources and technology
· – Managing information resources and knowledge in support of divisional / practice area teams
· – Advising and supporting on policies and procedures related to the provision of research and knowledge management such as copyright
To be considered for this role you will need the following skills and experience:
· – Good current knowledge of online information databases
· – Excellent academic achievement
· – Commercially minded with strong customer service skills
· – Confidence to delegate and negotiate work deadlines
· – Able to work on own initiative to tight deadlines and co-ordinate competing activities whilst maintaining a calm and professional manner at all times
· – IT literate with a good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook; experience of knowledge management tools such as SharePoint or HighQ preferred.
