Purshotam Dhillon admitted to police he was addicted to crack cocaine and heroin but said it did not affect his role, court hears
A former magistrate is accused of collaborating in a criminal network that supplied London with heroin and cocaine.
Purshotam Dhillon, 59, allegedly let Harry Singh, a convicted drug dealer, park cars at his home, and sent the jailed criminal £1,350.
Dhillon, who was responsible for adjudicating on criminal cases, benefited from his “air of respectability” as a lay justice to avoid suspicion, the prosecution said. Dhillon has not been a serving magistrate since July 2025.
Police who searched Dhillon’s home in Hounslow, west London, last July, found a “dealer’s list” of drug clients, as well as nearly £4,000 in cash, cocaine and drug paraphernalia, Croydon crown court heard.
Dhillon, a Hounslow housing officer, allegedly told police in an interview that he was addicted to crack cocaine and heroin, but that his habit had not affected his magistrate’s role.
