We are recruiting for a full time Enquiries and Systems Librarian who will play a leading role in a friendly team who pride themselves on providing an excellent library and information service to Law Society members and staff.
The enquiries component of the role involves analysing and interpreting library enquiries and carrying out detailed research utilising available resources. Systems encompasses managing the e-resources of the Library including the library content on the Law Society website and intranet, the Library management system and the enquiries telephony service along with leading on some digital projects.
What we’re looking for
Someone with previous experience of working in a legal library environment
Extensive current experience of English and EU law information sources demonstrating a good understanding and knowledge of legal research methodology
Substantial knowledge and experience of using electronic information sources and applications. A sound working knowledge of Lexis, Westlaw and Justis is essential
Enthusiastic and able to effectively engage with all level of stakeholders and external suppliers
Excellent customer service skills with a real desire to deliver a positive outcome
