A City law firm has revealed it is seeking growth in Asia and the Middle East, after unveiling a new three-year plan.
Ashurst is planning to market to its existing customers in the areas, by providing support and advice before it is asked for.
Senior partner Geoffrey Green told Legal Week: "We want to build on the key relationships with clients that we have developed over the last few years by looking at and anticipating their needs and the issues that they face.
"We think that the best way to do this is to be more proactive in approaching them with solutions rather than waiting for them to come to us."
The firm is hoping to use its new Hong Kong base as a springboard to move into the Asian corporate and finance legal services sector, while shoring up its offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai to increase its Middle Eastern presence.
Last week, it was announced that Ashurst has been shortlisted for the law firm of the year award at the British Legal Awards.
