Trump administration asks judge to dismiss ABA lawsuit over law firm orders -apparently ABA has, “no policy focused on law ?firms and that any alleged threat to ABA members from the White House was speculative.”

March 4 (Reuters) – The U.S. Justice Department urged a federal judge on Wednesday to dismiss a lawsuit by the American Bar Association that seeks to bar President Donald Trump from targeting major law firms over their affiliations with his perceived political opponents.
The administration argued at a ?hearing that the ABA had not shown it has standing to sue, saying it had no policy focused on law ?firms and that any alleged threat to ABA members from the White House was speculative.
