Vero Beach lawyer Louis “Buck” Vocelle, Jr., was arrested Saturday night and charged with DUI, property damage and personal injury.
Vero Beach Police Department officers arrested Vocelle, 64, at 9:32 p.m. at the 1000 block of 36th Street, near Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital, booking records show.
Vocelle posted a $1,000 bond and was released at 9 a.m. Sunday. He is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 22 at 8:30 a.m.
A full arrest affidavit was not readily available, police officials said.
Vocelle is the incumbent running for a seat in the Indian River Mosquito Control District election on Nov. 3. His grandfather, James T. Vocelle, was one of the founders of Indian River County.
