Thomson Reuters, has announced that it has purchased? a Argentina- and Chile-based Legal Publishing Group, which includes? publisher Abeledo Perrot.
Legal Publishing Group is controlled by Palmfund Management, a private equity firm. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition extends Thomson Reuters strategy to develop world-class information, software and workflow solutions for professionals around the world. Legal Publishing Group provides information solutions to professionals in the Argentinean and Chilean legal and tax & accounting markets through a portfolio of leading brands.
Abeledo Perrot has more than 3,000 professional titles in its portfolio, as well as traditional legal magazines such as Jurisprudencia Argentina and the Depalma editorial house.
In Chile, Legal Publishing Group has a long history of developing and publishing content in legal, regulatory, tax, labor and foreign trade matters. The business serves the needs of more than 90 universities and offers tailored online solutions to more than 200 governmental departments. Their main products include legal magazine Gaceta Juridica, software Hyper Renta and their line of Manuales de Consulta.
