Obama’s top lawyer called Shreveport a ‘dump’ in email to Jeffrey Epstein, records reveal
One of the top lawyers in former President Barack Obama’s administration had some choice words to say about Shreveport while advising convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in 2017, emails released Saturday reveal.
Kathy Ruemmler — Obama’s former White House Counsel from 2011-2014 who is now the head lawyer at Goldman Sachs — was apparently in town when she got word from Epstein that a settlement was reached in a defamation lawsuit launched by one of his accusers, the now-deceased Virginia Giuffre, against Ghislaine Maxwell, his close associate who would later be convicted as his criminal accomplice in 2021 and sentenced to 20 years in prison.
