There Has To Be A Cheaper Option. South Jacksonville Pays American Legal Publishing $8,500 to revamp the code books

Is it just us but HOB reckons they are spending more than they should be.. sounds like a great market for a startup.

My Journal Courier reports….

South Jacksonville trustees accepted on Thursday a proposal from a Cincinnati, Ohio, firm to update the village’s codes.

The village will pay American Legal Publishing $8,500 to revamp the code books, Village President Harry Jennings said.

“They will scan all of our ordinances, reorganize them and make sure all of them meet current state requirements,” he said. “There are a number of village ordinances that are outdated and conflicting. By updating the ordinances, we will have more legal authority to enforce the codes, such as violations of overgrown yards and abandoned vehicles.”
