The Netherlands: Amsterdam city centre law firm attacked with explosives

Police are investigating an explosion outside a law firm which specialises in legal aid cases in the centre of Amsterdam.

Windows were shattered in the blast at the Spuistraat 10 legal offices, which was reported by residents at around 5 am.

No-one was hurt in the explosion and short fire that followed. Police say the premises, which are shared by a number of lawyers, was an explicit target.

A spokesman for the law firm told Dutch News that they have no idea why their offices have been singled out.

The office is equipped with external security cameras and police say they hope the perpetrators will have been caught on film.
