About the Role

As a Subject Librarian you will be primarily continuing to build and consolidate the Law collection and supporting the Law department, as well as the Institute of Management Studies (IMS), Institute for Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship (ICCE), and the department of Politics and International Relations. You will be the person who builds relationships with these departments and students to contribute to the teaching and learning student experience at Goldsmiths. You will also work closely with other teams within the library to develop inspiring and innovative services that enhance the library offer. As part of the Academic Support Team, you will develop and deliver teaching in digital literacies, exploring new approaches and identifying opportunities for collaboration. You will also expand our research support offer to postgraduate students, early career researchers and our academic community. In response to departmental need, you will develop our print and digital collections.

About the Candidate

The library at Goldsmiths seeks to appoint a dynamic knowledgeable and experienced librarian with core strengths in subject liaison, teaching, and study skills for the post. The successful candidate will be joining a vibrant team of librarians as part of the Academic Support Team. The successful candidate will provide subject support to students and academics within allocated subject areas.

You will have experience of academic liaison and the delivery of library inductions, information literacy, study skills training, and workshops for students and library users. Excellent communication and presentation skills and an analytical approach to problem solving are essential. A teaching qualification and knowledge of Research Data Management, Open Access, and Bibliometrics are desirable.
