Having not read the Brief we will have to say that this is AN Insider’s opinion but we have read ALB and if it’s of similar ilk we see no reason to disagree with this opinion

We presume the Brief sets up conferences ? and has persuaded lots of law firms to waste money on listings and display advertising

A bit of news for you: TR has recently acquired what ever was left of the now-defunct Middle East legal publication, ‘The Brief’. You may recall that the publication was sold a year or so to a media company that wanted no piece of its second-rate coverage of the Middle East legal market. TR cited obvious synergies as the reason behind their decision to acquire The Brief: something like, we feel the shitty standards set by ALB will be matched only by the shitty standards that The Brief had become known for. The company plans to launch the first shit-filled edition of The Brief at the upcoming IBA conference in Dubai.
