HOB learns that? The American Lawyer?s americanlawyer.com Web site has been named one of ?10 Great Media Sites? for 2009 by B to B?s Media Business magazine.
The third annual list was selected by the magazine?s editors, based on a review of factors including design, navigation, search functionality, video and multimedia content, and community/social media features. Other Web sites selected included those from The Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek and PC World.

The current americanlawyer.com site was relaunched in 2008, was designed to showcase daily, Web-only news content and features a tiered system of free and paid content access. Site traffic increased 178 percent over the year following the launch, and the site now attracts 160,000 unique visitors each month.
In addition to daily Web-only news content and select stories from The American Lawyer, the Web site incorporates content from sibling publications in the ALM legal family and relevant news from across the Web, as well as comments, video and regular Twitter feeds. A mobile version is also available.
