We are seeking a senior editor to join our Third-Party Content Team.
This role can be performed anywhere within the United States.
The senior editor is responsible for acquiring, editing and publishing daily articles written by subject matter experts spanning
diverse legal practice specialties
, and working with other editors to improve articles, headlines and ledes. Duties include but are not limited to: covering a range of different beats on a daily basis; researching news topics and potential authors; reviewing submissions; editing articles; executing publishing licenses; communicating with sources; developing special series; and providing daily final review of all third-party content.
Job Requirements

At least 4 years of journalism experience

Experience working on deadline in a breaking news environment

Experience networking with freelance authors to produce articles

Excellent news judgment

Strong writing and editing skills, including firm grasp of AP Style and ability to craft heds/ledes

Ability to quickly distill complex legal issues for a corporate law audience

Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with a small team of editors
Qualified candidates will be asked to complete writing and reporting tests electronically.
Law360 offers extensive training on legal topics. Business or legal editing experience is preferred but not required. However, professional reporting experience and strong writing and analytical skills are required to succeed in this job.
