A large international insurance company is currently offering an excellent package to a general corporate and investments lawyer who has knowledge of the Chinese market and relevant Chinese legislation. Working within their Swiss corporate centre in Zurich, fluency in German will be an advantage to this role although not essential.
As a senior lawyer, your role will involve providing general legal advice across the Asia Pacific business dealing with M&A and corporate queries, legal risk management issues, general commercial and corporate governance issues, large projects and disputes and litigation. You will be responsible for instructing and liaising with external counsel and will be required to stay abreast of all changes in legislation. You will work closely with the General Counsel and established legal team and you may be required to travel outside of Switzerland occasionally. This position requires someone who has at least 4 years legal experience and is qualified in the UK, Europe or China. You should have Chinese experience and ideally speak Chinese and German. You could come from a corporate, commercial, banking or insurance background but need to be prepared to deal with a broad workload.
