Seminar: Hot Topics in Library Employment: What Are Employers Looking For?

Seminar:  Hot Topics in Library Employment: What Are Employers Looking For?

Deadline to RSVP is April 25th.

The seminar will be held:
Date: May 1, 2012
Location: Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP
Address: 4 Times Square
Conference Rooms: 37A & 37B, 37th floor
Time: 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

In recent job ads, descriptions have included: “Temp-to-Hire”.  Can this be labeled a new trend?  What does this mean for the candidate?  What skill sets are employers looking for?  Will it be easy to add those skills quickly?  What positions are ‘hot’?

We would like attendees for this session to come away with all the information needed to help them find a new position.  Whether you are currently unemployed, looking for the next great position or looking for your first library position you should attend this seminar.

A copy of the flyer to register for the program is attached.  This seminar is for LLAGNY members.  If you are not a member and would like to attend, you can sign up to become a member: www.aallnet.org/chapter/llagny/Forms/New_Member_Form.pdf.   Because of the lateness in the year, the annual membership fee will expire on June 30, 2013.
