On the morning of August 31, in Sterlitamak (Bashkortostan), unknowns attacked lawyer Dmitry Cherkasov, which he reported to “Aspektam”. According to him, at 10:45, when he was leaving for training, two men entered the entrance hall. They asked what his name was, and in response, “Dmitry” began to beat him on the hands with a metal rod.
The lawyer began to defend himself and raised a noise, after which police officers rushed in as the police department was nearby. Managed to assemble a photobot of one of the attackers.
Cherkasov positions himself as a lawyer, protecting the rights of orphan children. According to the human rights defender, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs could have been involved in the attack, since shortly before the beating, he won two cases, for which the court demanded 160 thousand rubles from the Ministry of Internal affairs of Russia.
