A solicitor has raised eyebrows after he claimed on LinkedIn that he was marrying a Chinese actress, and then named rival lawyers he wouldn’t be inviting to the ceremony.
The Brussels-based competition law specialist, who has worked at international firms, began by explaining why he was excluding a partner at a US firm out of the festivities.
RollOnFriday is not identifying ‘Mr Groom’ or any of the individuals involved, apart from the celebrities, for reasons which should become apparent in about two paragraphs’ time.
“NOT invited to my upcoming wedding with TIFFANY TANG”, he began.

“A. LIED to the Law society of IRELAND about being admitted in belgium. In fact he was only admitted in NY STATE (after having failed the NY BAR EXAM like FOUR times)”.
ROF confirmed that the partner is in fact on the Belgian Roll, so Mr Groom’s recommendation that he “SHOULD BE DISBARRED. ASAP” appeared to be without merit.
The partner’s second alleged offence was to have “FUCKED trainees on the boardroom table at [a US firm] and then bragged to his buddies”.
Anticipating the wildly defamatory nature of his posts, Mr Groom said, “you can try suing me, but dont forget that I’m from ISRAEL. do NOT FUCK with US”.
