This week, legal technology company Justis have announced the judges for their annual Law and Technology International Writing Competition, which include Robert Rinder, also known as Judge Rinder from the popular TV show, and best-selling author The Secret Barrister.
The company behind the international competition, which has a grand prize of £2,000, also announced a one-week extension to the competition deadline, giving students from around the world extra time to write and submit their entries. The new deadline for the competition will be the 8th of December 2019.
Alongside Robert Rinder, and The Secret Barrister, the competition also has an impressive variety of expert judges from the fields of law, technology, research and publishing, including:
• Pete Ward, Editor of Modern Law Magazine
• Aishah Hussain, Reporter for Legal Cheek, the UK’s most-read legal website
• Dr Liz Dowthwaite, Research Fellow, specialising in online data, privacy and social media at the University of Nottingham
• Tom Bangay, Director of Content at Juro
• Masoud Gerami, Managing Director of Justis, a vLex company
• Emily Allbon, Creator of tldr.legal and Senior Lecturer, Director of Mooting, and Programme Director LLB in Legal Practice at The City Law School, City, University of London,
• Roger V. Skalbeck, Professor of Law and Associate Dean for Library and Information Services at the University of Richmond
• David Wills, Editor of Legal Information Management and Squire Law Librarian at the University of Cambridge
