New graduate role! A global law firm is seeking a Researcher to join their knowledge team located in Leeds. The research team provides a comprehensive research and enquiry service for their global business, primarily business research to support business development and marketing activities. The researchers compile weekly sector updates, legal and regulatory horizon scanning and market trend analysis to support the firm’s sector programme..
Main responsibilities include:
- Legal and business research for internal and external clients using a variety of online databases and other resources
- Current awareness updates and legal and regulatory horizon scanning for nominated sectors and key account clients
- Sector-specific business research and updates
- Delivering training on research resources and legal research skills
- Developing detailed knowledge of nominated sectors and key accounts
- Project work and other tasks as required
To be considered for this role you will need the following g skills and experience:
- Graduate
- Well-developed research skills
- High level of IT literacy
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent administrative and communication skills, including high quality of written and spoken English
- Research experience in the legal and/or commercial sector preferable but not essential as full training will be provided
- Ability to work independently and use own initiative
- A lively, energetic and can-do approach
- A tenacious yet practical approach to problem solving
- Excited and challenged by the pace and demands of a corporate environment
- High degree of commercial awareness, with the ability to contribute to the wider business and Knowledge agenda
