Research Specialist – London Sector: Knowledge & Information Management

?A leading law firm has a new permanent job opportunity for a Research Specialist to join an existing team within their London offices.

You will provide actionable insights, legal and business research to support the firm’s strategic operations.

This would suit a proactive, analytical, and confident person with strong research skills, business acumen and acute attention to detail.

The Research Specialist will have strong interpersonal skills and will be required to develop relationships with members of the firm around the globe.

Key Job Responsibilities will include:

– developing strong relationships with practice groups in the London

– analysing information to provide actionable intelligence from internal and external resources for the firm’s lawyers, marketing, business development and business services teams.

– monitoring industry developments

– answering London and EMEA focused research requests

Key Job Requirements and Person Specification:

–        Exceptional analytical and research skills including a wide range of legal and business materials across multiple practices and industry groups.

–        Strong understanding of legal and business resources

–        Excellent written and oral communication skills

–        Confident and approachable manner

–        Desire to proactively seek out and disseminate additional information and analysis, beyond that which may have been requested

–        Creativity of thought when seeking solutions

–        Ability to establish effective working relationships within the department and across the firm

Applicants should possess a Master of Library and Information Science degree and 2 years+ law firm, business, or relevant research experience.
