The University Library Directorate includes the Dixson Library, the Law Library and the University’s Archives and Heritage Centre. The University of New England Library has a long-standing reputation for a scholarly collection and professional service excellence in contributing to the learning, teaching and research directions of the University. The Library strengthens the University through leadership in research skills development and scholarly communication. Specialised services are designed to support the large population of online students, and study facilities in the libraries provide flexible learning environments for on-campus students. The Heritage Centre is a regional repository for the State Records Authority of New South Wales.

About the role

The Research Outputs Officer is responsible for recording of resources into the digital repository for research outputs, appropriate metadata descriptions of these items as well as implementation and maintenance of processes to support research outputs in order to meet University research directions and reporting requirements under government legislation and policies of research funding agencies.

Skills & Experience

We are seeking an innovative, flexible individual with sound organisational, problem solving and interpersonal skills, able to interact with a range of stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be experienced in constructing bibliographic and other database records in a repository environment, will have an understanding of copyright legislation and intellectual property principles, including open access. The role requires working independently as well as cooperatively in a team environment.
