Dinsmore is seeking a Research Librarian at our Cincinnati, OH location. A motivated individual who provides expert legal research assistance to the attorney population as well as other admin groups as need be, including but not limited to caselaw, public records, litigation history, business information, and other services as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide cost effective research and reference assistance to the firm’s attorneys
- Promote and publicize library resources, services, and new products
- Provide library resource training to new and lateral hire attorneys
- Ability to juggle and prioritize working on multiple projects at once
- Provide business development research as needed
- this position will accommodate our west coast offices and the schedule will match accordingly
Requirements
- MLS/MSLS from an ALA accredited institution
- 5 years of reference librarian experience
- 3 – 5 years of law librarian experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft office
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable with public speaking and presentation to groups of attorneys
- Creative thinking and problem solving
- Professional attitude coupled with the ability to work both independently and as a team player.
- Detail oriented
