An exciting opportunity to join the Ashurst Library & Research team is available on a part time, 12 month fixed-term (maternity leave) contract.
Working as part of a national research team, you will be responsible for providing solution-focused business and legal research services to lawyers, support staff and external clients of the firm. Located in Ashurst’s Perth office, you will be responsible for maintaining the Perth library collection and ensuring the information needs of legal and support staff are met.
You will also be responsible for delivering training to legal and support staff in the Perth office in either a one-on-one or group environment, including delivery of training as part of the seasonal clerk program.

Essential Skills and Experience:
To succeed in this role you will need:
- Professional library and information management qualifications (eligible for Associate Membership of the Australian Library and Information Association
- Excellent reference and research skills with experience in a legal library environment
- Sophisticated knowledge and understanding of a wide range of subscription and freely available legal and business research databases and tools
- Experience presenting training and understanding of adult learning principles / information literacy
- Solution-focused approached to problem solving with critical, reflective and creative thinking
