Research Analyst – Law – 6 Months FTC
A 6 month fixed term contract opportunity for a Research Analyst has become available within the Research function of one of the worlds leading law firms. This role will support a mix of business, financial and occasionally legal research requests from both internal stakeholders and in support of clients. It’s highly likely that the research outputs in the role will include a mix of short reports, slide-decks and data visualisation work.
The position is one that is best suited to someone with considerable experience in a similar role and will work with lawyers on a mix of client work and projects. It will also interact with stakeholders across the firm in the capacity of a subject matter expert and to establish stakeholder requirements from the research services function. The firm is also extremely keen to promote a self-service culture with respect to the use of research materials and resources and as such, there will be a requirement to assist in the delivery/design of training.
To be a suitable candidate for this Research Analyst role, the following skills and experience are required:
- Experience in a business/legal research role in a legal or professional services setting
- An expertise in a wide range of mainstream research resources and tools
- High level stakeholder management, communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in the production of a range of research outputs including reports, slide-decks and the visualisation of data into a digestible format
- The ability to manage conflicting priorities and to work to deadlines
- A logic and process driven approach to managing research requests and problem solving
- A Library Science or related qualification would be extremely beneficial, but is not essential.
