Registration is now open for the IALL 31st Annual Course on International Legal Information and Law.
Canada: The Cultural Mosaic and International Law is jointly hosted by the Faculty of Law, University of Toronto and the Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, Toronto, Canada, 30 September – 4 October, with an Optional Day to be held at Niagara College. The educational focus of the optional day session will be on Foreign Investments and International Trade Law with an added tour of a winery and the choice of either visiting Niagara Falls or a visit to Niagara-on-the-Lake,

The conference has received strong support from both Faculties of Law at the University of Toronto and Osgoode Hall. The programme covering Canada’s unique perspectives on international and domestic issues has been put together by the Local Planning Committee and presents an outstanding opportunity to spend time learning from some of Canada’s leading legal academics, scholars, legal practitioners and law librarians.
The Opening Reception will take place on Sunday 30th September at the beautiful and historic home of Ontario’s Law Society of Upper Canada. The conference sessions for the first two days will be held at the Chestnut Conference Centre situated on one of the campuses of the University of Toronto and within walking distance of the conference hotels. On Wednesday the sessions will move to the newly renovated Osgoode Hall Law School and will include a tour of the renovated building and Library.
The Optional Day will not only present an educational focus as mentioned above, but will also feature a tour to a winery and a visit to either Niagara Falls or the lovely historic town of Niagara-on-the-Lake offering the opportunity to view historic sites, visit art galleries and/or shop.
There will be two major dinners, the first on Monday evening is sponsored by Kluwer Law International and will be at the CN Tower one of the tallest buildings in the world with spectacular views over Lake Ontario and the Toronto skyline. The Annual dinner will be held the Bram & Bluma Appel Salon, Toronto Public (Reference) Library, a vibrant new literary and cultural commons at the heart of the of the city.
