Wolters Kluwer’s Governance, Risk & Compliance division is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to join our LIS team in the New York City location.

As the Regional Sales Manager, Law Firm Segment, you will be responsible to build and lead a competitive and highly motivated team of 8 Sales Reps in order to drive profitable sales growth. Time will be spent identifying customer needs, managing lead follow up and aggressively pursuing expansion of products and services. The Regional Sales Manager will focus their activities on learning and staying informed on the comprehensive product line; learning, following and managing a comprehensive sales process within the team; updating and managing sales forecast and pipeline information; managing time and resources effectively; representing Wolters Kluwer within the industry and territory; and contributing to sales planning and forecasting.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Law, a related field or equivalent experience
•A minimum of 7-10 years of professional progressive outside sales experience and 5 plus years’ sales management experience

Preferred Qualifications: (Includes Minimum)
•MBA or JD
•Prior professional experience in law firm, private equity or financial services environment
•Legal background/knowledge, including: legal concepts, deal terminology, and understanding of corporate compliance & due diligence processes
•Service sales management experience in the law firm legal space
•Service sales management experience working with outside sales representatives/teams
•Product and promotional pricing strategy
•Proven ability to manage sales team to sell on value rather than just functionality/price
•An accomplished track record of successfully managing sales reps in a service environment
•Experience building and maintaining relationships at the “C” and “VP” levels
•Working within a multi-division organization with various sales channels
•Understand UCC, Registered Agent, Corporate Reporting, and Business Licensing services
•Consultative sales approach and business-to-business sales
•Quantitative analysis of sales programs, costs, results and ROI
•Legal/Compliance customer service experience, as well as solutions based sales experience
•Strongly prefer any type of cold calling/outbound calling/phone work

Additional Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
•In field work minimum 50%
•Overnight travel – 30%
•Non-Compete: Must be able to sell into all clients without restrictions or challenges
•Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
•Record keeping and order entry systems (One World, Arrow, and Voyager)
•CRM software (specifically, salesforce.com)
