Responsibilities include:
Conducts research and provides information, analysis, and expertise to attorneys and staff in all practice areas using a variety of online and print resources
Provides guidance to attorneys and paralegals on sources and strategies for research
Develops, coordinates, and assists with training programs for users of library resources with an emphasis on electronic resources
Troubleshoots problems with applications and online services and assists with password maintenance
Participates in collection development, including assessing content and value of print and electronic resources
Works with the Library Resources Specialist to maintain collection and records
Keeps accurate records of research projects, trainings, collection development activities, and other assignments as needed
Assists in the preparation of research aids, user guides, and bibliographies
Participates in developing and implementing library policies and procedures
Participates in professional development through training and involvement in professional associations
Works on special projects or other duties as assigned
Requirements Include:
Master of Library Science degree
1-3 years of research experience, including familiarity with print and online business and legal research resources
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize work
Strong attention to detail
Superior customer service skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Must have confidence, knowledge, a positive personality, and the ability to function independently
