Normally we’d relegate the QAnon Shaman to the bottom of the page but maybe while he’s inside he can lead a revolution on food in US prisons.. then he might actually be doing something useful !

US media reports

Jacob Chansley, the so-called “QAnon Shaman,” has filed an emergency motion in federal court “for sustenance” or, in the alternative, to be released from jail pending trial. The request is related to Chansley’s belief in Shamanism, a religion which he says allows him to eat only organic food as a core tenant of practice.

The documents, filed by attorney Al Watkins, mirror requests for organic food made during a plea hearing last week.  Chansley pleaded not guilty to charges related to the Jan. 6 siege on the U.S. Capitol.

Included in the motion are handwritten requests by Chansley for organic food behind bars.

A chaplain denied Chansley’s request because “Religious Services was unable to find any religious merit pertaining to organic food or diets under Shamanism Practitioner” guidelines, the documents state.

Watkins says in the documents that Shamanism is a faith recognized by the government.
