Lexis Draft Earns a Place on the 2016 SMART 100 Index
Drafting solution named one of Australia’s 100 most innovative products
Sydney, 17 May 2016: LexisNexis has been placed on the 2016 SMART 100 index for the first-of-its-kind product Lexis Draft. Competing with over 700 nominations, the drafting tool was recognised for its innovation and potential to achieve consumer adoption and commercial success.
With increased time and workload pressure forcing over half of legal practitioners to make tough decisions to skip proof reading and checking activities, LexisNexis developed a tool kit for easy review, editing and proofreading activities in seconds. This gives confidence they have high quality accurate legal documents in a shorter time. Lexis Draft allows users to editorially review documents; provide analytical and legal research validation and access to deeper research libraries within the document itself. Initial research shows that with technology like Lexis Draft they feel it will give them the freedom to focus on important tasks (93 per cent), improve accuracy and reduce risk (91 per cent).
“We are delighted at being recognised for our innovative and path breaking product Lexis Draft. Our team of developers are constantly engaged in creating solutions that are practical and aim to build efficiencies for our clients. This is another evolutionary step to show the way technology and innovation can assist legal practitioners to be free of mundane tasks and deliver quality documents,” said Glenn Cooksley, LexisNexis, Head of Drafting Solutions.
Placement on the SMART 100 Index follows the recent Stevie Award win for Lexis Nexis where it was named the winner of a Silver Stevie® Award in the hotly contested Corporate Innovation category in the third annual Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards.
