Innovating Marketing is excited to announce the release of Attorney Brenda DeRouen’s new book “I’m a Lawyer” available in all major book stores June 16th, 2022

(Black PR Wire) Houston, TX – On June 14th, 2022, Innovating Marketing Group announced the release of Brenda DE Rouen’s children’s book “I’m a Lawyer.” The book is set to be released in Barnes and Noble and all major bookstores throughout the U.S. June 16th, 2022. The official launch event will take place July 2, 2022, at Barnes & Noble Pearland, TX location, starting at 11am. The event will include a story time reading & book signing for patrons to purchase an autographed copy of the book.

The vision for the book “I’m a Lawyer,” was inspired by the lack of diversity in children’s books that highlight women and minorities in the field of law. Attorney DeRouen’s hope was to encourage readers to dream big and teach children more about different professions.

In the book Attorney DeRouen pays homage to influential women in history, such as First Lady Michelle Obama and Supreme Court Justice Kentaji Brown Jackson. In a USA Today article First Lady Michelle Obama speaks about the importance of representation, “For so many people, television and movies may be the only way they understand people who aren’t like them.” Attorney DeRouen personally could relate to the message from the First Lady, as her first encounter with an African American Attorney wasn’t until her senior year in high school, Representation does matter.

The power of visualization helps you to manifest your path. It’s hard to envision the possibilities if you do not see others like you.”

In connection with the launch of the book Attorney DeRouen is launching an initiative coined the “Be Bold” Campaign, encouraging girls to forge forward boldly in their career pursuits. The campaign highlights diverse women attorneys and their “Why” for pursuing a career in the field of law.

Who is Brenda DeRouen? ?Brenda DeRouen is a divorce and family law attorney from Houston, Texas. She is the founding partner at DeRouen Law Firm, PLLC a premier litigation firm focusing primarily on divorce and family law matters. Attorney DeRouen was named Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2021 and 2022, Top Lawyer by Houstonia Magazine from 2018-2022, & Top 40 under 40 by the National Trial Lawyers Association. Brenda has represented clients from all walks of life and frequently uses her social media platform @brendasmylawyer to educate her followers about the law using high-profile divorce and custody cases in the news. She’s been featured on BET, Yahoo, Glamour Magazine, The Today Show, Times, Fox News & more. She is a proud member of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. and Alpha Kappa Alpha Incorporated.

Unlike most attorney’s that start their careers working with an established law firm, DeRouen decided to take the road less traveled and started her own firm. As a solopreneur the road to success requires hard work and determination, which are two characteristics in which DeRouen is vividly familiar. While starting a law firm can be challenging, DeRouen was steadfast to her dream which helped her land huge clients within the NFL, Olympic and Celebrity arena.

Familiar with the challenges women face in the law arena, DeRouen wanted to do her part to help others and founded “Women of Law,” a 501(c) 3 Non-profit organization designed to empower women lawyers by connecting, inspiring, and promoting the advancement of women in the field. The organization was created in 2017 by a small group of women attorneys who saw a need to combine traditional networking with technology and the use of social media. Our goal is to improve opportunities for minority women attorneys and promote recognition of their capabilities.
