Press Release: ABA Antitrust Law Section joins vLex to launch expanded library of resources

CHICAGO, April 8, 2024 — In conjunction with global legal research service vLex, the American Bar Association Antitrust Law Section will launch this week a comprehensive new library of antitrust resources at its 72nd Annual Spring Meeting in Washington, D.C., the largest gathering of competition and consumer protection professionals from around the world.

The major upgrade to the ABA Antitrust Digital Library on vLex, called the ABA Antitrust Premium Digital Library, adds the latest editions of four premium titles including “Antitrust Law Developments,” a two-volume set with key court decisions and agency actions; leading periodicals such as the “Antitrust Law Journal”; and archived materials. Together, the premium library creates a powerful digital library of more than 70 antitrust titles enriched with hyperlinks to cited U.S. antitrust and competition law documents.

The digital library will be available for demonstration and sale starting Wednesday, April 10, at the section’s Spring Meeting, which runs through Friday at the Marriott Marquis in Washington, D.C. The conference is expected to attract more than 4,000 government enforcement officials, private attorneys, in-house corporate counsel, academics, judges, economists and businesspeople from 66 countries. Programs cover a broad range of national and global antitrust and competition issues, including agency updates and programs featuring U.S. and global enforcers; fireside chats with experts; and an array of other notable programs.

The expanded library follows the addition of ABA Antitrust Law Section materials in 2023 to vLex, which is a global legal intelligence platform that provides legal professionals with access to the most extensive collection of legal and regulatory information worldwide. Altogether the ABA-vLex connection offers:

  • New premium titles — Access to the latest editions of sought-after titles, including the seminal “Antitrust Law Developments,” the “Premerger Notification Practice Manual,” “Consumer Protection Law Developments” and “Competition Law Outside the U.S.”
  • 70-plus ABA antitrust law titles — Access to current titles that cover the latest developments in key areas such as monopolization, mergers and acquisitions, and consumer protection.
  • ABA Antitrust Law Section flagship periodicals — Access to the “Antitrust Law Journal,” “Antitrust Magazine” and “The Antitrust Source.”

The ABA Antitrust Law Section is the world’s leading antitrust and consumer protection professional membership group, and the expanded offerings are designed as a cost-effective reference and research tool for both ABA members and nonmembers. The expanded arrangement includes special pricing agreements for ABA members, and an individual ABA Antitrust Law Section member can take advantage of an online ordering process with individual pricing.
