Also introduces more intuitive, easy-to-navigate Lexis Practice Advisor home page

New York, NY (PRWEB) July 07, 2016

LexisNexis® Legal & Professional today announced the launch of a jurisdictional offering for lawyers practicing in Florida from Lexis Practice Advisor®, the company’s online practical guidance product. Lexis Practice Advisor® Florida Business & Commercial provides Florida attorneys and those serving Florida-based clients with jurisdiction-specific resources and practical guidance to help them handle transactional matters faster and more efficiently. Simultaneously, LexisNexis introduced a new Lexis Practice Advisor home page which offers users an improved experience.

“With more than 85,000 licensed and eligible lawyers, Florida is the fourth largest jurisdiction in the United States,” said Rachel Travers, vice president, Lexis Practice Advisor & Analytical. “Whether structuring wills and trusts, managing real estate transactions, drafting pre-nuptial agreements or addressing other matters common in Florida, Lexis Practice Advisor now offers a comprehensive set of content, resources and step-by-step guidance to help lawyers serve their clients in the Sunshine State more efficiently and confidently.”

The module is produced by a dedicated internal team of lawyers in partnership with practicing expert attorneys, who carefully create, curate and update all content sets. The Florida offering is the fourth jurisdictional module available through Lexis Practice Advisor, joining business and commercial modules for Texas, California and New York, along with other practice area and industry-specific offerings.

Lexis Practice Advisor Florida Business & Commercial features authoritative expert guidance, practice notes, model forms, checklists, and insights for rapidly growing and highly relevant areas of law in Florida, including: Florida Real Estate Transactions, Florida Estate Planning, Florida Family Transactions, Florida Entity Formation and Governance, Private Merger and Acquisition for the Florida Attorney and Private Placements for the Florida Attorney. The new module also pulls in practical guidance, forms, and supplemental materials in other areas that arise in the broader business and commercial space with federal and common law coverage as well as jurisdictionally focused supplemental content sets. Additionally, the module furnishes deeper supporting content only available through LexisNexis, including LexisNexis® Matthew Bender® treatises, legal news including Law360®, and linkage from practice notes to articles, model forms, secondary and statutory materials and regulations.

LexisNexis also created a new Lexis Practice Advisor home page that allows users to navigate their subscription offering with greater ease. Among the new features are:

  • A full, easy-to-see listing and linkage to all practice areas in a customer’s Lexis Practice Advisor subscription without having to use the practice area pull down
  • The ability to explore out of plan practice areas by navigating tables of contents, titles and descriptions for those areas
  • Direct access to resources such as The Lexis Practice Advisor Journal™, Lexis® Market Tracker, Lexis® Securities Mosaic® and legal news from Law360®
  • Convenient links to support, training and resources, including Ask Our Authors

“Lexis Practice Advisor is an indispensable resource for lawyers who need quick and easy access to trusted content and practical guidance from the leading experts on issues and matters related to a jurisdiction or area of practice,” said Sean Fitzpatrick, managing director of the North American Research Solutions business at LexisNexis. “The new Florida module and updates to the interface are the most noteworthy of our continuous content and functionality updates to Lexis Practice Advisor so users have the best collection of content and insights to confidently and efficiently start work on a new matter.”
