ROLE of the POSITION
All research librarians at the Law Library work closely with individual faculty members on scholarly research. Librarians are expected to engage in substantive research, participate in instructional and outreach activities, provide reference assistance to student and other visitors, and contribute to the many activities undertaken at the Law School. Research librarians are supported in their work by law student research assistants employed by the Law Library. Over time and as interests and needs are assessed, law librarians take responsibility for particular aspects of Library services. We encourage initiative and innovation among Library faculty and staff; we encourage independence in developing projects; and we expect professionals to contribute to the mission of the Law School and the Law Library on a variety of levels. This is a tenure-track Law Library faculty position.
