Position (UK): Legal Research Librarian – London

A global law firm requires a Research Librarian for a 12 month fixed term contract to start ASAP. The role is based in the library and information team supporting the practice areas, and will involve:

·         Research services – using a range of hard copy and online resources, assisting users, developing policies and procedures, and providing reports on usage.

·         Training users – involved in developing training programmes, conducting training, identifying training needs, producing guides and resources.

·         Collection development and management – daily maintenance of resources, resolving problems with resources, acquisitions, cataloguing, general weeding and maintenance of the collection, vendor liaison and management.

·         Library management systems – maintenance of the system, developing supporting guides, tracking usage.

·         Knowhow – involved in updating the database and checking content.

In order to be considered for this role, you will need a library or information management qualification and to have the following experience:

·         Library/information management work including legal and business research.

·         Developing and delivering training to users.

·         Collection management.

·         Managing knowhow – SharePoint an advantage.
