Position London: Global Law Firm Wants Knowledge Analyst For Document Automation Initiative

 A global law firm requires a Knowledge Analyst to help them promote the firm’s document automation initiative at the core of their legal knowledge service delivery.

The post holder will have the opportunity to work across the firm with all levels of seniority and disciplines. There will also be opportunities to get involved in other knowledge projects such as maintaining and launching new intranet sites and looking after the firm’s key knowledge collection.

Duties to include:

·         Work closely with the practice areas to promote automation solutions both within the business and as a client facing solution.

·         Support practice groups to automate their model documents and to keep template collections accurate and up to date.

·         Assist in implementing new procedures/services that can improve efficiency and document quality.

·         Provide training to lawyers on how to mark-up a document for automation and provide advice on best practice.

·         Create user-friendly and practical on-line questionnaires for use with automated documents.

·         Automate documents using firm’s automation tool, ensuring that the documents create meet practice requirements.

·         Complete all aspects of documentation following the successful document automation and manage the transition of the automated document to production.

·         Liaise and assist Knowledge teams across the firm to ensure automated documents are consistent with the firm’s standard policies and guidelines as well as house style.

Other duties may include:

·         Analysis of requirements as part of the on-going development of the firm’s knowledge systems and the delivery of the new functionality.

·         Working closely with the IT development teams to ensure the delivery of solutions that require technical development work.

·         Referral of issues to suppliers (internal and external) as appropriate and communication with suppliers to support resolution.

·         Planning and co-ordination of testing of new releases and code changes to the core products and other related software tools.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience with document automation software working within a professional services environment.
