About the role and our team
Join our team as an Inspector!
The Gambling Supervision Commission (GSC) is responsible for the licensing and supervision of land-based gambling operators (the casino, betting offices, controlled machines and society lotteries), as well as the online gambling sector.
This is a great opportunity to join the GSC’s expanding team at an exciting time; the gambling sector is experiencing significant growth and the GSC has recently expanded its remit to include regulation and supervision of a new medicinal cannabis sector.
We have roles available both in our Applications Team and our Supervision Team.
Inspectors Applications Team manage licence applications from an initial enquiry up to the issuing of a licence, acting as gatekeepers to ensure only fit and proper persons are granted a licence. Those in our in our Supervision Team manage a portfolio of operators, acting as their key contact to ensure compliance with the GSC’s regulatory framework.
In either team, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Building strong working relationships with key stakeholders
- Producing high quality and professional reports and papers
- Being an ambassador of the GSC and promoting its vision and values
- Facilitating competition and the provision of modern products and services
- Ensuring that gambling products promoted by operators on the Island can compete effectively throughout the world
