Web Announcement	Director, Second Year Legal Research Writing and Analysis Program – Antonin Scalia Law School The George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School invites applications for the Director, Second-Year Legal Research, Writing and Analysis (LWRA) Program position. Responsibilities: Oversight and management of program for instructing second-year law students in legal research, writing and analysis; instruction of one section each semester of second-year students; and oversight and management of Adjuncts Instructors to program; Teach one section of second-year LRWA courses: LRWA III – Appellate Writing (Fall) and LRWA IV – Legal Drafting (Spring); Hire and manage LRWA adjunct faculty, including semester debriefs; and kick off meetings, preparing semester specific materials, classroom visits, and teaching feedback; Draft/create all second-year LRWA course materials, including bench briefs, case charts, appellate record, and project memos; Manage second-year LRWA programs including: creating and posting class materials (PowerPoint/class exercises, etc.); monitoring and resolving student registration and waitlist issues; monitoring adjunct grade reporting; teaching one course section; handling student requests for project extensions; responding to student questions/concerns; contacting students with attendance or low performance issues; and ensuring that final grades comport with law school academic regulations and grading policies; Collaborate with the Director, First-Year LRWA Program regarding LRWA program as a whole; Coordinate research and general program support with law school reference librarians; and Coordinate with student-run Moot Court Board regarding Law School Upper Class Competition, including providing bench brief and mooting questions. Required Qualifications: J.D. is required; and Significant relevant legal experience; minimum five years is preferred. Preferred Qualifications: Academic experience is preferred.
